With 30 years of experience in the banking and real estate sector, Antje Mertig has extensive knowledge in the areas of commercial financing, the management of real estate in reorganisation and restructuring situations, and non-performing loans. Having obtained a degree in banking economics (BA, School of Finance), she continued her education in real estate economics, e.g. to become a Sustainable Real Estate Manager (IREBS). She draws on her hands-on experience and her deep understanding of the real estate industry and the relating financing sector. She worked in the financing divisions of various banks and loan servicers, including Hudson Advisors and Hatfield Philips, where she was responsible for large and highly complex loan portfolios of CMBS and sub-performing loans. She is founding partner of Steinberg Real Estate Management GmbH, a company specialised in real estate in special situations. As a professional member of RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), Antje Mertig provides up-to-date expertise and in-depth know-how that meets the highest standards and professional ethics principles.
